About Me

Taryn began her professional journey as a City and Regional Planner (Town Planner), where she developed strong skills in reading and interpreting plans, managing projects of various scales, and working within budgets. After five years in the office, she followed a passion for the sea and transitioned into the yachting industry—unknowingly starting a second career.

Over nearly a decade, she worked on prestigious yachts including Motor Yacht Hermitage, M/Y Spirit, M/Y Giorgia and  Motor Yacht Formosa.

Taryn quickly rose to the position of Chief Stewardess/Purser, responsible for managing the yacht interior. This included inventory control, provisioning, purchasing, maintenance, repairs, and overseeing yard periods—requiring meticulous organization and attention to detail.

Upon returning to Cape Town, Taryn managed a major home renovation project, applying both her planning and project management experience. Now, as a mother of two, she has re-entered the workforce and has launched Home. Done.—a service that brings together the skills she has honed in town planning and luxury yachting to expertly organize and manage homes.
